'Convolution'
1983 32" x
42" Stainless Steel Convolution is a sculpture that was
once sold then taken in on trade for another
larger piece. It has been installed at 5 homes
and endured countless storms and inclement
weather. A strong longevity factor wasn't enough
for this 15 year old piece. It possesses a motion
excitingly different than other creations by
Brewitz. It moves randomly.
The random motion
can be described as twirling then stopping, then
twirling the other direction slower, then
speeding up to pivot, sway and rock back and
forth. The motion is gentle and delightful.
The unpredictable
movement and stainless luster make 'Convolution'
a favorite of guests who tour the expanding
Brewitz sculpture gardens. The sculpture is
considered my many close to him as the Brewitz
signature piece because of a strong resemblance
between his welded initial 'signature' and the
work.
Original Convolution work
not for sale.
