A massive
square/circle element centers the three motion
elements of 'Independence', a kinetic sculpture by
Tom Brewitz.
Solid
ellipses align with rings on either side of the
middle element for an intriguing geometric puzzle.
The shapes almost seem to fit into one another.
However, their independence is intact as careful
study reveals how the two shapes resist the match.
