Unity is an outdoor sculpture
that provides continuous motion. It's long arms reach
for light breezes, moderate gusts or powerful winds.
Remarkably, the design matches up with the worst and
best of weather conditions.
Unity's pivot points are
designed to allow the motion elements to rotate
smoothly to no greater than a horizontal position
before they rise again to their natural vertical
place. There is a graceful ease with each and every
sway as they wing their gentle course.
Personal influences outside the
art world help provide inspiration to the artist for
his creation and Unity title. With elements that
blend well, the name was a perfect fit for this 1999
kinetic sculpture. Sharing his hope for the future,
